
Nevada Educational Choice Scholarship Program
Nevada Statutes provide for a tax credit against the Modified Business Tax for businesses who donate money to a qualified Scholarship Grant Organization who will distribute grants to qualifying applicants. This is an income based scholarship where parents can apply for each child and receive funds to pay tuition at any private school of their choice.
Grant Amounts: The maximum amount of a grant provided for each student is $8,469 for 2021-2022, but this amount increases each year. This may be used for tuition, fees, textbooks, school supplies and transportation. Students may receive a scholarship from more than one organization, but the amount may not exceed the maximum limit.
Qualifications:
- Must be a resident of Nevada
- Awards are granted on a first come basis for those who qualify.
- Previous qualifying family income levels are listed below, although some organization's income levels may be different:
Family size of 1 income not to exceed $37,470
Family size of 2 income not to exceed $50,730
Family size of 3 income not to exceed $63,990
Family size of 4 income not to exceed $77,250
Each additional person in the household add $13,260
Application Process:
A Parent/Guardian wishing to apply for Education Choice Scholarships need to apply with any state of Nevada qualified Scholarship Grant
Organization. You are encouraged to apply to all the organizations in case funds have been already awarded.
